About the event

BELTANE: We are all waking up from a collective hibernation and it's time to get wild! Beltane is an ancient Celtic holiday celebrating fertility and the coming of summer through fire, music and dance. Our lives are deeply interwoven with the cycles of nature - as the days get hotter, the fire of the sun transforms the landscape into a lush, fertile place full of blossoms and beauty. And that landscape is you, it is all of us, blossoming into our fullest expression and ready to create magic.

PURPOSE: The purpose of our events is to bring people together to connect authentically and feel radically alive. To "remove our masks", let loose and be the truest expression of who we are.

THEME: Alchemization and creating a relationship with the sacred fire, a weaving of cultural elements. We all come from different backgrounds and this gathering aims to celebrate the ways that we uniquely connect with the land, with our spirituality and with fire medicine. We are constantly changing - fire reminds us that we have the power to transform and transcend our limitations.

COSTUMES: Let's get out our favorite outfits and dress to express! We invite you to adorn yourselves in any pieces that make you feel connected to your lineage/culture, or perhaps your favorite festival outfit or a costume you create to align with the theme. What ever makes you feel most vibrant, authentic and embodied!

RESPONSIBILITY: We encourage sober partying or intentionally consuming (legal) plant medicines that you feel connected to in order to maintain a safe space and good vibes for everybody. This is also a leave no trace event, we ask that you treat the land with respect and leave it the same as (or better than) you found it.

CO-CREATION: YOU are what makes this event come alive! We will be building and maintaining the big central bonfire together throughout the night. Lots of wood will be provided but if you have access to firewood, or have something sacred that you want to burn in the fire you can bring it (of course no unnatural materials like plastic etc.). If you have fire toys, bring them! (as long as you have experience and the appropriate safety gear). LED flow toys are also encouraged.

MUSIC: We will start off with a drum circle - Osman from Nigeria is bringing an array of djembe drums to share with us and teach us how to drum! If you have one please bring yours so as many of us can participate as possible! DJ sets will be a mix of tribal house, deep house, organic bass.

PERFORMANCE: We are blessed to have tons of incredible performers joining us to showcase their skills working with fire! From fire breathing and spinning to symbolic storytelling through fire dance, we are in for a visual treat! Of course, if you have flow toys that you love to play with, bring them and become part of the show!
